Current incidents in North Yorkshire

When there are incidents or emergency events that may affect North Yorkshire the Local Resilience Forum will post updates on this page.

COVID-19

16 September - The North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum, comprising of agencies and partners responsible for leading the fight against the pandemic here, have escalated the response after cases more than quadrupled in the last fortnight.

Main concerns include:

The rising number of cases across the area.

Growing evidence of increased community transmission

Increases in infections among care home staff and residents.

The national problems with laboratory capacity which mean that fewer tests are available and results take longer to process.
