Speed Training

Would you like your community to be more resilient? Think you need a little more information? Interested in emergency planning and community resilience? Speed training is a new and interesting alternative to your typical event.

Overview

Parish Councils, community groups and other interested parties are invited along to Community Resilience Speed Training.Speed Trg LA

Speed Training involves participants visiting different presenters to learn more about their specific roles and responsibilities and how they fit into the bigger picture.

Creating a community emergency plan doesn't require any expert knowledge and Speed Training is here to demonstrate that.  You will get a unique opportunity to ask emergency responders and other agencies questions about how they work and how they can help your community become more resilient.

In attendance at these events are: Local Authority, Police, Fire and Rescue, MIRT (Major Incident Response Team), Environment Agency, Met Office and the Red Cross.

Speed Trg MIRT Following the event you are encouraged to complete a Community Emergency Scheme to help your community prepare themselves for an emergency - remember, all areas of the County are susceptible to an emergency, event if you haven't' experienced one before.
